The Story of Sarah Foxwell

The Story of Sarah Foxwell

He came to her in the dark of night

Two days before Christmas Eve.

He made her leave her own home

She was not even in her teens.

He was a marked man, they say. All should have known he wasn't right.

But what did he say to the child? What did he say to that child To make her leave her home that night?

She left still wearing pajamas,

But she was not found that way.

They say he raped and burned her

And then left her there to lay.

T'was Christmas when they found her.

I held my daughter tight that day. '

Cause what do you say to a child? What do I say to my child

To keep the Boogie Man away?
